Here in Hawthorne we have a company called "SpaceX."
It is a great company founded by a great young man named Elon Musk.
He employs hundreds of scientific minded people that work in the business of
"space transportation," sending reusable space craft
into space and being able to retrieve them for future missions. As I
think of reaching out evangelistically to these kind of people,
I think of various scientific subjects that they might be interested in, that
are related to scientific support of the Christian faith.
Below are articles I will be adding to, articles I have written in simple terms that both those with, and those without, a
"scientific bent" can understand and appreciate. Many of these
articles are based on the information I have read in other articles
found in the "Acts & Facts" magazines put out by the Institute for Christian
Research. I give at the bottom of each article where
you can find a similar, more detailed article in the "Acts & Facts" magazine.

Benjamin Whorf, Linguistics, and Evolution
Benjamin Lee Whorf (1897-1941), having died of cancer at the
age of 44, was both a scholar graduating from Yale, a scientist
who focused on botany, a believer in God and creationism, and a student of
linguistics. I mention linguistics last because that is the
subject that I would like to have this article revolve around. Whorf
concluded that language did not come about through any means of
evolutionary purpose, or did it come about by giving us a better chance of
survival. Human language did not evolve from grunts to
the incredibly complex grammar that exists today, but it does shape an image of
the kind of world one understands. Our very thoughts
are heavily dependent upon our own language, and influences our worldview and
judgments of the world around us.
To be able to distinguish between the past, present, and future (all
important as to understanding where we came from, where we are,
and where we are going) allows us to understanding the all-encompassing plans of
God. When the lack of ability to communicate exists,
there is a profound effect upon a person's thinking. It is no wonder that
one of the names God uses of Jesus Christ is "The Word,"
Jn 1:1,14, for Jesus communicated to us the message of God unlike any other.
The officers answered, "No man ever spoke like this Man!"
Because some had raised a supposed conflict between science and the Bible,
Whorf realized that this was partly because of their
unfamiliarity with Biblical languages. Whorf himself was then driven in
his study of Hebrew and other languages to better understand the
Scriptures in 1924. [See Whorf in my article below “Does the Bible Speak
of Dinosaurs?] Long before the "Intelligent Designer" scientists
of
the early 1990's were trying to convince the "Evolutionary"
scientists that God (not evolution) was the source of "creation," Benjamin
Whorf
had been using some of the same arguments that they were,
and are still using today. Whorf did not reject, but embraced true
science,
for true science is fact, not theory, and supplies evidence that can
not be discredited, unlike evolution. Whorf rejected the theory of
evolution, based both on his study of science, and his investigation of the
book of Genesis which shows God to be our Creator.

Bretz and the Washington Gorges
In 1960 geologists agreed with what Bretz had postulated, that a catastrophic
"local" flood (not something like the Colorado River through
the Grand Canyon) had caused these gorges. Though Bretz progressed from the
erroneous idea that many still hold today, that it was a river
that caused such things as the Grand Canyon and the gorges of Washington, to a
position that it was a catastrophic flood, he still never came
to the greater truth that it was not just a local flood, but a world wide flood
as described in the Bible, that covered the mountains. "And the
waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth, and all the high hills under the
whole heaven were covered. The waters prevailed fifteen cubits
upward, and the mountains were covered." Gen 7:19,20.

Amazing Wood
Have you ever thought "O, it's just a piece of wood, or it's
just a stick of wood."? Yes, there is a big difference between a
sculptured piece
of wood and just an "ordinary" block of wood, but any wood is actually an
amazing piece of material. There is no such thing as a "simple"
piece of wood, for if you could truly see how wood is composed, you would see
that wood is not simple at all, but highly complex. Today
the world does have a few highly intelligent men walking around, and the
technology that almost daily continues to develop and astound the
common man, yet with all this intelligence and technology man still can not
exactly duplicate the basic parts of wood, and thus can not exactly
duplicate it's overall total structure.
As I explain the following, imagine zooming in microscopically
on a piece of wood, first seeing the larger cellulose, and then down to the
smaller enzymes. There are roughly thirty-six strands of cellulose that
run in pairs, bundled together in microfibrils, all held together by a
hydrogen bond in this material we call wood. Within the wood are enzymes
that work like an assembly plant to put these microfibrils together.
These enzymes align themselves in a hexagonal arrangement, and then combine with
others to form into a larger hexagonal pattern. If we were
to see the start of the manufacturing procedure, we would see enzymes supplying
raw materials, other enzymes putting these materials together
as if following a specific chemical blueprint. We would see proteins
gluing the assembly on to the cell membrane. We would also see other
enzymes putting the microfibrils into a specific arrangement, as well as
crystallizing them.
But wood is not just simply composed of these microfibrils.
Microfibrils are then placed into a material that holds them like a matrix
would.
This material is made up of groups of such molecules as lipids, proteins,
pectin, lignin, and cross-linking glycans. (You see, wood is so
complicated you probably haven’t even heard of most of these ingredients.)
As wood is produced by a living plant, understand that this living
plant also takes in carbon from the carbon dioxide in the air to add to this
mixture. All this added together, and formed in the way that I have
written, produces the strong material we know as living bushes and tress, and
still provides them the flexibility to bend in the wind. It is when
the wood from these trees is cut and allowed to dry that it becomes the hard
wood that we see as building material. Wood is just one of many
things in God’s creation that, because of it’s complexity rather than
simplicity, would never have been able to come into existence through evolution.

The Testimony of Snakes and Turtles
The erroneous theory of "Evolution" puts forth that animals all
evolved from other less complex animals, and that over long periods of time
they gradually developed greater and greater levels of these complexities to
better their chances of survival. Of course the explanation of how
the first animal evolved from a non-animal has been hard to come by, and those
that have been offered have been studied and rejected due to the
tremendous unlikelihood of it occurring the way it is postulated. Understanding
this, let us consider two types of animals; first turtles, and then
snakes,
and see that they did not gradually evolve, but came instantly into being
already possessing their full biological design. Turtles and snakes
are just
two representatives from the group we call "reptiles." Because they and others
in this group have designs unique to themselves, without
the needed
similarities to show they evolved from something else, we can see that they
received the specific attention of a designer to bring them
into existence,
rather than coming into existence by chance evolution.
If all reptiles began because one reptile evolved from a
non-reptile, & then other reptiles evolved from those reptiles (of course in
gradual
stages
and over long periods of time) we would see signs of this in the fossil records,
which we don't. Turtles have very hard shells which endure
long
periods of time being fossilized, and are easily recognizable even when
shattered over such periods of time. They would be one of the easiest
animals to observe fossil records of evolution, but none exist. No other animal
or reptile in history has the features of the tortoise to suggest to us
that it evolved from them.
In regards to snakes, the explanation offered by evolutionists
is that they evolved from lizards. At first evolutionists told us that animals
developed
or added to their complexity in the process of evolution. But with snakes
evolutionist say that evolution "chose" to reject a good pair of walking legs.
Lizards seem to be doing fine with legs, so why would a non-intelligent process
of evolution "choose" to abandon them? It doesn't make sense.
Two animals that have an evolutionary connection, one being a
predecessor to the other, should be fairly similar, yet snakes and lizards are
not that
similar. Their eyes are different, yet they both go down holes, and are in
sunlight alike. The spinal column of snakes has many more vertebrae, and
what the evolutionist calls "rudimentary hind limbs" in snakes were never limbs
using in walking at all, but have always been used in copulation.
Without them they would not have been able to reproduce as well and survive.
Those their is plenty of fossil evidence of snakes and lizards, again
their is no fossil evidence of evolution between them. The evolutionist ignores
the lack of evidence for evolution, and does not recognize the need
for evidence, but simply makes up an explanation that is not verifiable. What
the fossil record evidence correlates to is the book of Genesis where
it says God made individual animals after there own kind. The fossil record
evidence, and living examples of animals do not correlate to the
explanations of evolutionists.

Does the Bible Speak of Dinosaurs?
Most secular books teach that dinosaurs came into being 220
million years ago, then became extinct 65 million years ago. If we look at
the
genealogies of the Bible that run back to Adam, (who was created on the 6th (24
hr) day of Creation, after God created the sky and the earth on
the
first day), the Bible only allows for some 6-10 thousand years of history (not
millions), in which all things (including dinosaurs) could have
existed.
From this article I hope you will be able to see how that dinosaurs fit into
Earth history in a way compatible w both science and Scripture.
The term dinosaur was first used in 1842 (after discovering
skeletons) & meant "terrible lizard." Seeing the original scriptures were
completed
about
100 AD, (over 1700 years before the word "dinosaur" was coined in 1842),
the word "dinosaur" was not in the original scriptures. But there
are
some
words in the original scriptures that would describe what we (not God)
would call dinosaurs.
Ge 1:21 "So God created great sea creatures..." These
were not whales, as some would translate or interpret, for we see three
different words in
scripture, the first "Tanniyn" wrongly interpreted by some as "whales," the
second "tannah" which is a derivative of "tanniyn," and the third "Ketos"
which has been translated "whale" but was probably just a great fish. Let's look
at "Ketos" first, because it takes less time.
Mt 12:40 "For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the
belly of the great fish "ketos," so will the Son of Man be three days and three
nights
in the heart of the earth. See Strong's notes below on the word for "great
fish" in Mt 12:40 2785. khtov ketos, kay'-tos
(Search for 2785 in KJV) probably from the base of 5490; a huge fish (as gaping
for prey): (translated)--whale.
Now let's look at the second word "tanniyn." The original word
and meaning of "great sea creatures" is found in Strong's concordance.
08577, tanniyn, tan-neen' or tanniym (Ezek. 29:3) {tan-neem'}; intensive from
the same as 8565; a marine or land monster, i.e. sea-serpent or
jackal:
08568. tannah, tan-naw' Search for 08568 in KJV probably feminine of 8565;
a female jackal:--dragon.
Mal 1:3 But Esau I have hated, and laid waste his mountains and his heritage for
the jackals of the wilderness." (NKJV)
The dragons "tannah" of the wilderness . (KJV)
Jer 9:11 "I will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins, a den of jackals. NKJV
Jer 9:11 And I will make Jerusalem heaps and a den of dragons <tanniyn> KJV
Why Strong's states "tannah" as being a "jackal" and was
translated as such by the NKJV in Mal 1:3 is beyond me, unless a jackal was
their idea
of a
"land monster." This is translated in the KJV Bible as sometimes
dragon, or sea-monster, serpent, whale. A serpent is a reptile, a whale is
a
mammal,
the first has scales, the second a smooth skin. These are two very
different kinds of animals, and the original Old Testament scriptures in
Hebrew
would not use the same, but different words for these animals. A jackal is no
way close to being either a whale or a reptile.
[This kind of study would be similar to what Benjamin Whorf (See my first
article) did to better understand the Scriptures and their sometimes
conflict with "science."]
(KJV) Ps 91:13b the young lion and the dragon (tanniyn) shalt thou
trample under feet.
(NKJV) Ps 91:13b The young lion and the serpent (tanniyn) you shall
trample underfoot.
(NKJV) Isa 27:1 In that day the LORD with His severe sword, great and strong,
will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan that twisted serpent;
And He will slay the reptile (tanniyn) that is in the sea.
(KJV) the dragon (tanniyn) that is in the sea.
See Job 40:15 for "behemoth" 0930. twmhb b@hemowth,
be-hay-mohth' Search for 0930 in KJV in form a plural or 929, but really a
singular of
Egyptian derivation; a water-ox, i.e. the hippopotamus or Nile-
horse:--Behemoth.
How Strong's thinks behemoth was an ox or a hippo (or NIV thinks
it was an elephant) could only come from a choice of animals they thought
existed
at the time. They have been taught dinosaurs did not exist in the time of Job.
But hippos and elephants don't match the description of God's word.
Job 40 15 "Look at the behemoth, which I made along with you; He
eats grass like an ox. See now, his strength is in his hips (imagine a dinosaur
standing on its hind legs), and his power is in his stomach muscles (the weakest
point of an elephant) 17. He moves his tail like a cedar (elephants
and
hippos have tiny tails, while dinosaurs had huge, heavy long tails); the sinews
of his thighs are tightly knit. 18. His bones are like beams of bronze,
his
ribs like bars of iron. He is the first (largest) of the ways of God. Only He
who made him can bring near His sword (man's ancient spears & swords
would be useless against dinosaurs).
See Job 41:1, 7,9,10,14,15,18 for Leviathan. 18-21 sounds like the
source of the idea that has evolved into a fire-breathing dragon.

Not only did dinosaurs exist during the time of man just a few
thousand years ago, small dinosaurs may exist even today in very remote,
isolated
parts
of the globe. There is a huge lake larger than Rhode Island in Africa that
could hold dinosaurs. Pterodactyl looking creatures have been
reported in
northern Alaska. I have also seen a DVD about a WW2 veteran that tells one
interviewing him of his encounter with a pterodactyl in 1944
on the island of Papua New Guinea. Many new species of various kinds of animals have recently been
discovered on other Pacific Islands too.
This paper is just a brief study. There are other tapes, videos, books on the
subject, which can be found by Kent Hovind, Henry Morris, and others.

Is The Earth Really Millions of Years Old?
One of the key factors in believing in evolution or not, is how old the Earth really is. If the Earth were proved to be only
Radioisotopes have been found to be chemical elements that give
off a consistent measurable amount of radiation over a certain
amount of time. Because of this, they are used to help determine how old the
rocks or fossils are that contain them. Some scientists
have acknowledged that they have found radioisotopes to show that the rocks that
have previously been studied and said to be
millions of years old, are only a few thousand years old.
Though scientists have discovered that helium is an atom that will
escape from where it is found in the hard layers of the earth
into the air fairly quickly, they have found helium in coal, granite, and
carbons that were said to be millions of years old.
Tests have shown that the DNA, proteins, and pigments from
animals will only survive for thousands of years being destroyed
by decay. These have all been recently found in rocks that were thought to be
millions of years old.
Collagen is a fibrous protein in connective tissue such as bone,
cartilage, tendon, and skin. When it is boiled in water it gives off
a gelatin material. Collagen would turn to dust after 30,000 years, yet it was
discovered in 2008 in the remains of a dinosaur they
called a “hadrosaur” (even giving it the name "Leonardo) that was said to be 77
million years old. Since 1987 we have been
hearing about discovering dinosaur bones with soft tissue still in them. Femur
bones from T. Rexes were even found in 1991 and
2000 still having blood cells in them. The same was found in another hadrosaur
in 2009. If they hold to their erroneous dating
methods, they have to believe that blood cells can survive for 65 million years.
But rather than recognize the obvious and admit
that these dating methods are erroneous, and that evolution has been an
erroneous theory for 200 years that they have based their
lives on, they hold to the ridiculous. “Professing themselves wise, they
become fools.” Romans 1:22.
With discoveries like this, rather than come to the conclusion
that they have been led astray by those that want to cling to the
theory of evolution (which requires the Earth to be millions of years old), they
want to believe that blood cells could survive for
65 million years.
To find such items as radioisotopes, helium, animal DNA,
proteins, and pigments which are known not to be able to last more
that 10,000 years, and collagen which would not be able to last over 30,000
years still existing in the rocks that are said to be
millions of years old would be like finding what is said to be an ancient clay
tablet that is said to be thousands of years old, with
writing on it that mentions computers and Bill Gates. It would be an obvious
fraud, seeing Bill Gates and computers weren't
around thousands of years ago.
Even though a number of facts have proven that there is evidence to show that
the Earth is really only thousands of years old,
and nowhere nears millions of years old, many refuse to accept the facts because
it would require a shift in their thinking from
believing that they are not accountable to God for the way they lives their
lives, to being accountable.

Two Tales of the Great Flood
In 1853 some clay tablets were discovered in the Babylonian city of Nineveh. Upon these tablets was the story (Epic) of Gilgamesh.
This story could not have come into being any earlier than
1800 B.C., though archeologists say the tablets are only from around the 7th
century B.C. The Non-Christian scientists have said that these tablets
contained the “original” story of “The Flood,” and that what is found
in Genesis was based on this. Neither do they believe that the story in
Genesis was written by Moses in the 1400’s, but that a Jewish priest
revised the Gilgamesh story many years later.
What many people (as well as many archeologists) do
not know is that there is another tablet that was found in another Babylonian
city
(Nippur) in the 1890’s which dates back to having been made around 2200
B.C., only about 200 years after the Flood. None of the details
in this story are different from what is found in the Bible, nor is there
anything added that is not in the Bible’s account of the flood. Not only
does this tablet vouch for the authenticity of the Biblical account of
the flood, it also proves that these modern, non-Christian scientists are
wrong in their teachings on when, what, and why it really occurred.

Those Long Necked Dinosaurs
The brontosaurus is one of the most well known
dinosaurs to the general public, possibly due to the old T.V. show “The
Flintstones.”
(Remember Fred & Wilma Flintstone, Barney & Betty Rubble, Pebbles & Bam
Bam?) Though the brontosaurus had a long neck, there were
other dinosaurs known as sauropods that had even a longer neck and tail
than did the brontosaurus. This “design” gave these animals the abilities
of both a greater reach in fighting or defending themselves, as well as
acquiring food. They ate the foliage of the tall trees, and could reach way
up high, as well as conserve energy in not having to move their entire
body, by stretching that long neck to several trees around them. The
advantage is obvious, but this was not an advantage that natural
selection through evolution over thousands of years could have produced.
You see it is not just a matter of having a long neck, for that would
have produced so much weight that the dinosaur would have continually fallen
over from being top-heavy. That would have been a faulty “design.” No, to
accommodate this long neck, five other things were essential for
stability, that all had to be fully developed, existing at the same time.
One, they had to have a smaller than usual head. Two, they had to have
vertebrae in their necks that was hollow rather than solid. Three, they
had to have pillar-like locking leg bones, like the first two, the other
dinosaurs did not have. Four, they had to have a pelvis bone specially
shaped to fit these different leg bones. Five, they had to have an accelerated
growth rate to reach their gigantic size giving them the ability to
survive because of their design and size.
Though scientists that hold to the theory of
evolution have “surmised” (guess) how sauropods came into being and survived as
long as they did,
they admit they have absolutely no fossil evidence to show any proof that
one type of dinosaur evolved into another type of dinosaur. Though the
fossil record does not record how these animals came into being, there is
another record that does. “And God made the beast of the earth according
to its kind,..” Gen 1:25. One doesn’t have to read any further than the
first chapter of the Bible to get the answer to this one.

Ear Wax
Usually we just think of ear wax as a nuisance or a
possible hindrance to our hearing, but ear wax is really a remarkable and very
complex
substance that is just one of many things that defies explanation through
evolutionary speculation. Our ear canals are open to the world to let sound
in,
but also open to possible invasion of parasites and pathogens. Ear wax is our God-given
wall of defense. It is a bodily secretion produced by
about 4,000 glandular cells in the body, composed of fatty acids, antimicrobial proteins, squalene, and peptides. (Squalene is an acyclic hydrocarbon
that is a precursor
of cholesterol.)
Ear wax attracts and traps sand, dirt, bacteria, fungal
spores, small insects and dust before they can advance any farther and cause
harm in the body.
Found within the ear wax is an arsenal of defensive weapons with names
like beta-defensin-1, beta-defensin-2, lactoferrin, lysozyme, cathelicidin,
and others.
Along with these there is also a bitterness in ear wax
that is offensive to fleas, mites, and the like. Within the ear wax are very
sophisticated
compounds composed of many parts that could not have been developed, gathered, and
arranged in their precise organization gradually over long
periods of time, but would only have a working purpose if they were all intelligently
brought together at the same time.
Not only is ear wax itself one of many signs of
intelligent design, but also the auditory canal in which it lies. In regards to
the rest of the body,
skin cells were designed with age to turn into keratin, a hard, flat, corn-like
substance that would flake off the outer part of the body. In the ear
canal skin
cells peel off in a curved, rather than flat, shape and are more easily engulfed by
the ear wax. With the moving secretion of ear wax,
aided by the movement of our jawbone, skin cells, parasites, pathogens, etc. are rid from the body.
What is usually thought of as just a messy,
undesirable substance, is actually a
gift from God that both benefits our body, and communicates a message to us
that it is God, not chance that
has made this gift.

Binding "Ligaments" of the Body
Most of us are familiar with those small living units in
our bodies called "cells," as well as the bones that make up our hip area called
the
"the pelvic girdle," as well as that muscle we call our heart. Though these three are
different in many ways. one of the things they all have in
common is that they utilize connecting elements either in the form of ligaments or rows of
proteins that are called "tight junctions." Individual
cells,
the hip bones, and the heart are not just floating in space within the body defying gravity.
No, they have to be anchored in place, and
what accomplishes that is what this
article is about.
We have in our bodies what are called the "tight
junctions" which are certain cells that have been bound together by a crisscross
pattern of
rows of proteins that work like belts strapping them all together. Their purpose
is to keep specific membrane proteins in important areas they are
need in, as
well as to make sure certain materials go into the cell bodies instead of
passing in-between the cells. If we did not have these "tight
junctions" our
brain, intestines, kidneys, and certain other parts of our body would not work.
Though these "tight junctions" are small (being made
up of just so many cells) there is an even smaller binding element that is only made up of so many
proteins that are located in that small area we
know as the "cell wall" of a
single bacterial cell. These proteins are fastened to sugar molecules forming
what appears to be long skinny tubes.
The three bones of the pelvic area of the human body are the ilium, the ischium, and the sacrum. It is this area of the body that allows us to walk
The tissues in the muscle fibers of our heart are also
connected to a support of belts which wrap around the heart like a figure eight.
These allow
the precise attachment of other muscles, which help in producing a perfect
beating of the heart, and flow of blood to the rest of the body. If the heart
did not have this supporting cradle of muscle and binding ligaments properly
arranged around it, it would not be able to keep the body alive.
As is seen in other areas of the body we find a living
factory of various biological machines that put these binding "ligaments"
together, each
ligament having it's own specific purpose. Both the "factories" with their
"machines," and the "ligaments" they produce having a good number of
parts that
all must be present at the same time and in the proper arrangement for them to be
able to exist and to carry out their designed function.
We continue to find that
we do not have just one case of how evolution can not be justifiably
explained, but case after case, providing an
overwhelming abundance of cases.

The Egg and the Sperm
As we think back to having been taught human reproduction
in high school biology, we remember that a sperm cell must unite with the egg
cell
in order for us to reproduce. That sounds like a pretty simple thing that even
evolution could have produced, but when we truly know what is
involved we see
that it is actually much too complicated to have come about through evolution.
Because it is so complicated, you may want to try
to digest this article just
one paragraph at a time, being patient that it will all come together for you
when finished. As you progress, understand that
each of the things you will be
reading about all have to exist and function properly, all at the proper time
within the life of the individual person for
them to be able to reproduce. If
any of them would have taken the "thousands of years" to evolve (that the erroneous
theory of evolution requires,)
humans could not have lived long enough to
reproduce and survive.
To begin with, the sperm cells within the male testes each
divide in order to have only half of the number of chromosomes that other human
cells
have, so that when they bring their 23 chromosomes to the 23 chromosomes of the
female's egg cell, it will then have the normal amount of 46
chromosomes.
Small "machines" in the cells allow slight changes in the information in these
chromosomes, which gives the baby that is eventually
born their own
characteristics, while still carrying all the information needed to make a healthy, normal
child.
Each sperm cell begins round in shape, and remains
fairly stationary. All around it are "Sertoli cells". Their only
function is to change the sperm
cell into a cell that can swim up the fallopian tubes of the woman and unite with
an egg cell. To start, sperm have no contact with the blood stream,
and the Sertoli cells take from the blood the material that is needed, and place it in the
sperm. They also remove fluid from the sperm, and rearrange
the inner works of
the cell so that the sperm is more streamline and develops a long "tail" used
for propelling the cell on it's journey. The Sertoli
cells also make at the head
of the sperm cell what is called the "acrosomal body", sealed in its own
protective coat. This "body" then makes very
strong, erosive enzymes that will
dissolve the membrane around the egg.
To make healthy sperm, a lot of the hormone testosterone
is required. Far from the testes, way up in the brain, the hypothalamus releases
a hormone
(which also releases another hormone) which causes the pituitary gland to
release one hormone that stimulates follicles, and another hormone that
will
stimulate "Leydig cells" in the testes to make a lot of testosterone. The blood
stream carries these hormones from the brain to the testes. The
hormone that
stimulates the follicles will then make the Sertoli cells make a certain kind of
protein that will bind the testosterone to where it is
needed in the sperm cell.
Not only does the hypothalamus start producing
testosterone, it must be caused to stop producing it to achieve the proper
amount of it in the
manufacturing of sperm. The "correct" concentration of testosterone circulates back to
the hypothalamus & pituitary gland in the brain, carrying still
another hormone
that is also made by the Sertoli cells, well named "inhibin," for this mixture
then "inhibits" any further production of testosterone,
until it reaches a low
enough level to cause the production to start all over again. This way the
production of testosterone is kept at a proper balance.
Now it is not until the age of puberty that a boy will
start producing sperm cells. Up to that time he does have an immune system that
developed
while he was still in his mother's womb, that is programmed at that time to fight
off cells it does not recognize. These later new sperm cells would
not be recognized, and thus destroyed by that system in the blood, if the sperm cells
were in contact with the blood. Therefore the Sertoli cells
"know to create" a
barrier between the sperm and the blood; otherwise the boy would be rendered
sterile.
The passageway inside a woman's body that the sperm must
travel through is so acidic (as to prevent harm from dangerous bacterial growth)
that
it would also kill off the sperm if not for the males seminal vesicles. They make
fluids that make up part of the semen sperm are in, which for a time
will
neutralize the acid of the woman. Remember, each of the things you are reading about all
had to have existed and function properly, all at the
proper time within the
life of the individual person for them to be able to reproduce. If any of them

and survive. With the acid neutralized
for a time, the sperm can continue it's journey, until it is blocked by a plug of mucus at the entrance to the
uterus. Now we have other elements that are
needed, all at the same time as the
many others, for reproduction to be possible. These elements are called
"prostaglandins," which thin out the plug.
Here, the woman's body actually
assists the sperm in their journey by producing more estrogen at the time she
ovulates the egg, which causes this plug
to be even thinner, allowing the sperm
to move through the plug. While the sperm move through the plug, they also
convert elements in the plug to energy.
There are a great many cells in the uterus (that the sperm
now moves into on the other side of the plug) that also attack invaders. The
semen however
has been "equipped" with it's own means to overcome this attack. Though the
semen partially renders a local area of the woman's immune system
ineffective, so as not to leave her open to attack from bacteria, the semen also has
another substance that offers her protection against bacteria. This
isn't all
semen, carrying sperm, in the uterus has to overcome. Along the walls of the
uterus are projections of cells that try to trap invaders. Working
with these projections, the uterus has a continual contracting action that makes a
fluid that pushes out of the uterus what these projections are able to trap.
As
we have already seen, the semen is quite equipped to overcome all the obstacles
that come against it. At this juncture it doesn't render this force
powerless,
but has an element that reverses the direction of the flow and actually assists the sperm to
continue upward towards it's destination.
It is interesting to know that without the changes along
the way in the woman's body, a sperm artificially placed at the egg would not be
able to
fertilize it. The sperm has to be changed by quite a number of things found in the
woman's body first. Secretions from the uterus allow certain proteins
to pass
through the protective covering around the head of a large group of sperm. This allows the
release of enough enzymes in these sperm that will
be able to make an opening in the cover made up of cells that surrounds and protects the egg, so that one other
sperm can enter and fertilize the egg.
Along the outside of the covering of the
sperm is a protein that will only stick to a certain part of the egg that is
receptive to receiving sperm from her
same species. This prevents her being
impregnated by anything other than another human. (Lions can cross breed with tigers
and produce animal known
as a ligers. These are much larger in size.) Once that one sperm enters the egg, channels in the egg's membrane supply charged
sodium ions that produce
an electrical charge that keeps any other sperm from penetrating the surface of the egg. The surface also swells up, dislodging
all of the other sperm on it.
If more sperm were to enter, this could kill both
baby and mother. Now that the sperm have penetrated the protective covering of
cells around the egg,
and one sperm has moved to the egg itself and fertilized it at it's surface, the egg then builds parts that will pull the central part of that
one
sperm cell
into the egg to make the first cell of another human being.
This has been a "simplified version" of what takes place
for human reproduction. If any one of the things that has been covered (not to
mention other
more complicated things that have not been covered) had been left out,
reproduction would not have occurred. Of course evolutionists have their
theories
of how these things can be explained, they just don't have any proof of
it. Darwin knew that as technology advanced, more could be discovered, but if
what was discovered was more complex than simple, he wrote that it would disprove his
theory of evolution. Technology has advance. What has been
discovered is more complex than simple, and evolution has been disproved.
(Evolutionists still teach it because they can't bring
themselves to teach creation.)

Scripture Declares the Age of the Earth!
Don't be ashamed to say that the
Earth is not millions of years old, but probably only about six (maybe ten)
thousand years old!!!
Only for the last 150-200 years, when scientists began to be turned from the
Biblical record (by first Charles Lyell and then Charles Darwin,) has
the
general populace (including many Christians and even their pastors) believed the
teaching that the earth is millions of year. Someone might think
"Man erroneously believed the Earth was flat up until the time of Columbus,
couldn't they have also been wrong for even longer on how old the earth
is?" Not if they understood the Bible. The reason Columbus had the
faith to sail beyond the horizon was because he believed what he read in the
Bible. Isaiah 40:22 says "It is He who sits above the circle of the
Earth." Just as Columbus could know from the Bible that the earth was
round and
not flat, we also know that the Earth is relatively young, not old; thousands
not millions of years old. Those educators that want to remove God from
the equation of how things came to be as they are have pushed the teaching of evolution and an
"old earth" to make that erroneous theory swallowable.
They have rejected God and the Bible, while many pastors that cling to God and
the Bible, but want to blend both what the Bible says and what "modern
scholarship says (and what most people in their pews have come to be taught is
no longer theory but fact) have
fallen for the idea that the Bible doesn't
say "when" God created the earth, just that He created it. They follow
what is called "Theistic Evolution," that God actually used evolution to bring
things into existence over long periods of time. Trouble is neither the
Bible, nor actual evidence teaches this.
Now concerning the title of this article, the first words of
Scripture in the Bible start off with the words "In the beginning God created
the heaven and
the earth." At first that doesn't sound like a very specific time
reference, but then the Bible tells us how many years Adam lived, how many years
several
people in successive generations lived, as well as giving us the year, month,
and day of some historical events. Because of this, one can
calculate back
to when the beginning was. A great scholar named James Ussher did exactly
that and determined that "the beginning" was 4,004 B.C. Others have
suggested that the Bible has skipped some generations, and suggest that "the
beginning" might be as much as 10,000 B.C. That is still nowhere
close to
the millions of years that the erroneous theory of evolution demands.
In the first chapter of the Bible, the same chapter that tells
us of "the beginning," God gives us a measuring unit called a "day."
It was not thousands of
years as some erroneously suggest to validate "Theistic Evolution," but 24 hours
as the measuring of the time it takes the earth to rotate from any given
point (say from sunrise one day to sunrise of the next day.) The
Bible also speaks of weeks, months and years, though it's calendar is not the
Roman
calendar, but the Jewish calendar with equal months of 30 days each, and a 360
day year. Though this is different from ours, it doesn't change that one
can calculate when "the beginning" would have taken place. Again in
that first chapter of the Bible, it is recorded how God created what we call
"the
sun the moon, and the stars," and that they were given for signs and for
seasons, objects to measure time by. This same first book of the Bible,
Genesis,
tells us how many years people lived up until the time of Noah and the flood.
It then gives us the exact days of when certain events took place concerning
the flood, and then later speaks of other events and dates that has been
verified through archaeological discovery.
When non-Christian scientists and educators, some 200
years ago, began their swaying of the populace away from God and the Bible, they
began to
convince people that the earth was millions of years old, that there never was a
world-wide flood with Noah, that evolution was true, that our very
existence came about by just a matter of chance, and that we are not accountable
to a holy, loving, intelligent God that created us in His likeness.
Therefore we are free to run the streets naked in San Francisco. We are
free to have sex with the same sex. We are free to kill babies in the
womb.
We are free to have sex with just about whomever and whatever we want as long as
we can "legalize" it. We are free to worship whatever, and any
way at all, or worship nothing but ourselves. We are free to replace God
as the Lord over our lives, and be our own lords. For a time, God puts up
with this. People seem to get away with openly "crucifying" God. But
we do not see their tormented spirits the second after they die. "And as
it is
appointed unto man once to die, but after this the judgment." Heb 9:27.
Don't believe the lie of evolution. Jesus spoke of the events in Genesis
as
absolute truth, and also said that he was the way the truth and the life, Jn
14:6. The word repent means change your mind. Have you changed
your
mind to agree with what God has had recorded in His word the Bible?
