Ladies Ministry                              Home Page

Our Ladies ministry is composed of women and girls dedicated in doing Christ-honoring work and activities.

Through this organized group, we combine our time, talents, and efforts

for the furtherance of the Gospel and the edification of the body of Christ.

We have implemented a new project called "Friendship Evangelism"

with the hope of reaching more women in our church and community

by offering craft projects, cooking lessons and practical hospitality sessions.

We also put on special luncheons and events geared  towards the encouragement of women.

All ladies of our church, and visitors are welcomed as this is an excellent way for our ladies to become better acquainted .

Work time, a short devotion, and refreshments accompany each meeting.

May God truly bless this ministry,

Jenny Merrill

On the first Saturday of this September (Sept 3, 2011) the ladies of the church are invited to come to the parsonage on 136th St
at 11 a.m. for a time of refreshment and fellowship.

Just like Pastor Merrill has a page entitled "In Case You Missed It,"  below you will find entries that Jenny Merrill has written that will give you an idea of the interesting things that her ladies Sunday School Class has recently gone over.

5-20-11                      In Case You Missed it... Our book on: Why God's People Suffer, A Study of I & II Peter, Jude
In the ladies Sunday School class, we start each morning with a praise and/or testimony time.  We share with each other our victories and also our defeats.  We also take prayer requests (both personal and intercessory).  It has long been understood that our "sharing time" always remains within the four walls of our class, and is only expressed outside with the permission of each class member.

On Sunday, May 15th, we started out with the usual testimony time.  A question was raised (yes we use the first 15 minutes to ask questions as well) as to why our bodies have to "grow" unwanted excess hair, skin tags and moles.  We laughed as we discussed the effects of getting older, and concluded that our present aging process is so we can be grateful for our new heavenly bodies when we receive them.  Getting older is not easy, but we know that it gets us closer to Jesus!

We then proceeded with our lesson (from 1 Peter 2:11-17) on "The Christian's Responsibilities."  The overview was "If the world is to be convinced of the reality of our faith, they must see something different in our lives."  From there we read and studied about our conduct, our character and our obedience aligning itself to Scripture and to civil responsibilities.   How we react to the law, to authorities, and to our Christian liberties were discussed and expounded upon.  Our testimony as law abiding citizens must be manifested in light of Scripture.  We must not believe one way and act another, nor can we compromise on character.   We stopped short of the "question and answer time," but will continue next week on some seriously thought provoking questions.
